the words drowning out the tunes of yesterday's petty cries lose the senses in the ocean's blinding lights on a bridge passing the taxis by and if i ever utter another word only remember that i wanted to make you feel worse than yesterday's cup of tea tasted under a salty sea what i'm trying not to say too fast before i drink too much salt on my lips is that i really want to say i love you.

it was something about the hair. you caught me in the wind and held me, weaving me around the curls and holding on to dreams that never lifted off the ground. when we started, you taught me how to apologize, carving the letters into my tongue with a knife made of feathers. i suppose that's when you learned how to dance along the printed notes and in time to what she was saying. i sat there watching you move across scratched floors, crawling farther and farther away from me and into her arms. you were just dancing, but you blew me away. it was raining saturday. the droplets came pouring down, blending into a brown, salty sea before drowning.

there was a time when i felt it was okay to draw hearts all along my arms. you would hold my hand, smile, and draw the lies onto my skin. in the end, when it was dark and i couldn't see through the veil, you ruined the promise of the world for me. who ever said it was okay to leave a little girl alone, all alone to wander through the dark on tips of scrapers that pierce midnight-sky eyes?

It started with a whisper that echoed through my ears. My fingers began to twitch and burn, coursing through every pulse and vein. Another Pink Year

It's only been three months since I've updated my journal. Yay! Like last year, I entered `JunkbyJen (https://www.deviantart.com/junkbyjen)'s Think Pink V contest. This summer I've been keeping busy with hockey (which I'm actually watching right now. Go Pens!) and traveling that I only found the information the day before entries were due. Thankfully I was able to write up four entries and enter them in on the 3rd. Hell, I was even able to write that one piece I wanted to write from last year. ________________________________________ (I'm a little late with this update; I apologize.) Ribbon Syncopation surprisingly took first place in the literature category this year!

Holy puck! /shameless hockey reference. Okay, so now it has been four months since my last journal update, but I've kind of been busy. Anyway, I'm here to introduce to you a new project of mine! In collaboration with romantic-revenge (https://www.deviantart.com/romantic-revenge)'s Photo-A-Day Project. For the rest of July she will be uploading a photo to her gallery from her archives or from her summer. The collaboration comes in with the literature pieces I'll be uploading. Each piece will correspond with the photo uploaded. I'll provide the link with each upload. I plan to write each piece in the evening while drinking tea. A Mad World

So it's been five months since I've updated. I've finally gotten around to updating, thanks to the Vancouver Winter Olypmics and a constant flow of music. (...:cough:) That shot of inspiration last month is something I really needed, and it produced my update. Congratulations: let's end this the right way is the latest update. Hopefully you'll enjoy the piece and find some meaning in it to you personally. (I think I wrote it after watching a fail on short track... if that means anything?) I also have another piece as a precaution against another writer's block, just so I don't bore you. Until then I'll be keeping it for myself. T
